White Dammar is a resin obtained from the Dammar trees. It is an endemic species that grow in India. It grows well in moist deciduous forests, especially in the Western Ghats Mountains. Dammar trees seem to be green in the first half of the year and then become deciduous trees in the next half-year. It grows up to 1200 meters in height. It produces a brown-colored resin called Kungiliyam, which is very dense in appearance. This resin offers lots of health benefits.
