Description

Veliparuthi has a botanical name as Pergularia daemia and an English name as Trellis-vine is a perennial twining herb that can be used as a medicine. Its leaves are thin, and heart-shaped 2-12 cm long. The Greenish yellow, sweet-scented flowers have long-peduncled, umbellate, or corymbose clusters. The fruits are paired with follicles 5.8 cm long and 1 cm in diameter. Seeds are velvety on both sides.
