The medicinal and herbal plant with the botanical name of Trachyspermum Roxburghianum is also known as Ajowan caraway. Ajowancaraway, which comes from the plant family Apiaceae, is a year-round herb.
Originally native to India and Pakistan, the leaves and fruits of the plant are consumed by humans for both food and medical purposes. This plant is also known as bishop weed, which is used to feed livestock.
The small fruits produced by this herb have a pale brown color and oval shape structure. Its texture resembles Caraway and Cumin, but its taste is slightly bitter and more intense than anise and oregano.
