New Zealand has strict biosecurity and a generous duty threshold. Here is exactly what to expect.
- Under NZ$1,000
No duty, GST or border fees are normally charged on parcels valued under NZ$1,000. We do not add GST at checkout.
- Over NZ$1,000
New Zealand Customs charges duty, GST and a transaction fee, which DHL collects before delivery.
- Biosecurity
MPI inspects herbal parcels. Sealed, commercially labelled dried herbs and powders normally clear. We do not send seeds, fresh plant material or soil to New Zealand.
- Honey
Honey and other bee products cannot be imported into New Zealand, so we do not ship them there. Remove them from your cart before checkout.
- Declaration
Every parcel carries a full itemised customs declaration with botanical names.
- Address
DHL needs a street address and a mobile number. PO boxes cannot be delivered to.

How long does delivery to New Zealand take?+
Four to six days from dispatch with DHL Express, to any address in New Zealand. Orders are packed and handed to DHL within a few working days of payment, and you receive the tracking number by email the moment it leaves.
Will I pay duty or GST?+
Parcels valued under NZ$1,000 normally attract no duty, GST or border fees, and we do not add GST at checkout. Above NZ$1,000, Customs charges duty, GST and a transaction fee, collected by DHL before delivery.
Will biosecurity hold my parcel?+
Sealed, commercially labelled dried herbs and powders normally clear MPI inspection. Seeds and fresh plant material are not shipped. Honey and bee products cannot be imported into New Zealand at all, so we do not send them.
Can I pay in New Zealand dollars?+
Prices are in US dollars. PayPal, Stripe and all major cards accept the payment and your bank converts it to NZD at its standard rate.
Is shipping to New Zealand free?+
No. Free shipping applies to the USA, UK and Canada above US$99. For New Zealand the exact DHL Express rate for your parcel’s weight is shown at checkout before you pay.
