Kal chatti is a natural eco-friendly cooking vessel. There is no chemical coated while making this product. The taste of the food cooked in this Kal Chatti is outstanding as it is chemically inert. You can use this Kal Chatti to prepare sambar, rasam, and any types of curries.
It is completely hand made and crafted by the sculpturer who is involved in the manufacturing company. No automated machine can be used to make this product. So the dimension of the vessels can be varied but assure the mentioned volume.
Physical Structure:
The Kal Chatti has a broad mouth, and the outer layer of the Chatti has a thick and strong wall. It protects the Chatti from the crack. The color of the Chatti is varying from gray to black depends on the vessel seasoning. The capacity of the Chatti is 2.5 ltr. It has two handles to attach to the Chatti.
Method of usage:
We need to seasoning the vessel before taking to regular usage. Apply oil with turmeric for four days.
Then fill the rice starch water in Kal Chatti, then heat the water. Repeat the steps for the next four days.
Traditionally we can keep the vessel in the woodstove. It is also designed to compatible with Gas stove.
We can follow regular washing methods to wash this vessel. Use a normal dishwasher with soap to wash the vessel.
Benefits:
Kal Chatti has a porous surface. It can transfer the heat eventually all over the Chatti. So the nutrient of the food can not be destroyed.
Once the Chatti heated up, you have to put a flame on the low level.
As it holds the heat even after switching off the flame, we can switch off the flame a few minutes before the food is ready. Thus helps to save the fuel and time of your cooking.
