Description

Ilanthai is a medium-sized subtropical tree that is very popular because of its berry-like small fruit. You can found this tree on the mid-hills up to 1,400 meters. Children and adults like small berry fruits. It is small with drooping edges that grow up to 5-8 m. The bark of this tree is rough, and it is gray or dull black. The leaves of this tree, ovate, 3.8 cm long and 2.9 cm wide. It is dark green from above and whites tomentose from below. It bears yellow flowers that grow in clusters with the leaf axils. The tree is easily spread by the seeds.
