Description
The Cluster Fig tree, growing up to 10 to 30 feet (3–9 m), is known for its spreading branches and distinctive trunk, which typically does not exceed 7 inches (17.5 cm) in diameter. The tree produces unique red, furry figs that grow directly from the trunk and contain hundreds of flowers. These flowers are pollinated by small wasps, and the fig tree reproduces through these flowers, not seeds. The fig tree is evergreen near water sources but sheds leaves in winter when not close to water.
