Marapachi Bommai is a wooden doll made from the jack fruit tree wood with a red sandalwood finishing. It is placed in the Golu festival, which is a tradition passed down from one generation to another in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. These wooden dolls are presented as part of the bridal shower and for the newlyweds to kick off their annual stick celebration at their new home.
