Punarnava is scientifically called BoerhaviaDiffusa, used in Ayurveda since ancient times. It is a flowering plant that belongs to the Nyctaginaceae family. It is a perennial herbaceous creeping plant that grows about 1 m in height. Its root is tuberous and light yellow in color. It is very beneficial for liver and kidney health. Besides, the root might cure urinary tract infections, obesity, diabetes, eye diseases, arthritis, and impotence.
