Description
Merremia tridentata (mudhiyor Koonthal) is a creeper that grows up to 2 m long. Its leaves are linear, five up to 10cm long, dilated toward the base. The leaf’s base is an arrow-shaped, 3-lobed, tooth-like margin. Flowers are funnel-shaped, pale yellowish, with maroon to brown center. It usually grows in the sandy area near the coastal region, cultivated areas, wasteland, roadsides, forests. It is widely grown in tropical and southern Africa, tropical Asia, and northern Australia.
