Frequently asked questions
Pinju vs regular kadukkai?
Same tree, different harvest. Pinju (immature) is milder and rounder in effect; mature kadukkai is the full-strength classic. Households traditionally keep pinju for the young and old, mature for the middle.
Can I give it to my child myself?
The rub tradition is simple but should be learned once from an elder or practitioner โ quantities are tiny and technique matters.
