Silambam is a weapon-based martial, it is originated in Tamil Nade, South India. Tamil Nadu has a rich tradition that is more than 3000 years old. The kings of south India from 1760 to 1799 has great skills in silambam. They are using silambam as warfare against the British army. Once British colonists banned silambam after the reign of the British, it is more common in Southern Asia. The ban was removed in Independent India.
