The Nilgiri hills around Ooty are lined with eucalyptus, and every South Indian childhood cold met its steam. Eucalyptus oil is the congestion classic โ the towel-over-head steam, the diluted chest rub, the two drops that clear a bathroom into a spa.
Why Malaysians order this
- The definitive steam-inhalation oil for blocked noses
- Diluted chest-rub tradition for heavy cold nights

How to use
Frequently asked questions
Is this like minyak kayu putih?
Close cousins โ cajuput and eucalyptus share the camphor family character. If your family swears by kayu putih, eucalyptus will feel like its bolder sibling.
For children’s colds?
Steam in the room (not directly over a small child’s face) and very dilute back-rubs for older children. Avoid entirely for infants.
