Can I skip henna and use only indigo?
On its own, indigo does not bind well to hair and can give a weak greenish tint. Henna first, indigo second โ the two-step is the traditional method for true black.
Why did my colour look greenish at first?
That is normal fresh indigo oxidising. Within 24โ48 hours it settles into deep black. Do not shampoo during that window.
